Anna’s work is at the intersection of design, craft, and fine art. Working primarily in fiber, she draws inspiration from traditional crafts like quilting + weaving. Her most recent series “Wrapped Panels” explores color, pattern, and texture with reclaimed materials. Her work is both modern and joy sparking.

“Creating these works is a meditative process. A state of flow. I wrap each panel in rows upon rows - coloring the wooden panel with each length of fiber. Sometimes the work is meticulously planned out, other times I just do what feels right based on the fibers at hand.”

The marrying of the precise, consistent wrapping of the fibers with the improvised application is consistent in Anna’s work across mediums. She often uses precise + repetitive techniques to create her works of art. In this collection, the result is something with great depth but easy to hang, sculptural yet soft, understandable, playful, and totally unique.
