Anna Flickinger is a local Iowan, who at a young age was fascinated with the quirks and beauty of nature. This influenced her current subject matter depicting vegetation and wildlife. She uses a technique called stippling, allowing her to explore hyperrealism through small dots simulating varying degrees of solidity or shading.
