Gina Julian is known for her hard-edge abstraction painting and vivid colors. She has long been fascinated by the effects of color on the human psyche. In 2023, we saw her body of work transform from optical art into her WET PAINT series. The Trompe l'oeil paintings of paint smears on wood were loved by collectors this year, and will continue to be loved in 2024!

Every visitor to the gallery always asks us about the wall of bunnies and everyone always finds a favorite. Hunt Slonem is an American artist known for his neo-expressionist paintings of butterflies, rabbits, and tropical birds. Influenced by his interest in the mystic and his meditative practice, his figures are realized with a repetition that operates as a form mantra, giving way to a surprisingly playful exuberance on canvas. From a rabbit, to a trio of butterflies, to even a landscape, Slonem's body of work includes something for everyone.

Eliana Bernard creates unique tile designs handcrafted using custom clays and glazes formulated in her studio. Each tile is made in her studio through various slipcasting and ceramic production techniques. She merges traditional tile methods with fine art. We especially love her wall hangings that mix metallics, brights hues, and various textures. They are the perfect addition to a narrow space in your home that needs something beautiful. In 2023, Nate Nettleton's body of work continued to wow collectors. The Ontario based conceptual sculpture artist has become known for his quirky swirls, often overlayed with bright mirrors. Visitors of the gallery love taking photos in the reflections of his pieces. His art practice explores the importance of simplicity, and constructs abstract physical representations of personal & societal progress, empowerment, and possibility. We are excited to see his work evolve in the new year!

Joy Kinna's pieces always have a compelling and meditative quality about them. Her work is the accumulation of feelings, memories, landscape, subconscious and conscious thoughts that form into colors and shapes that she interacts with on canvas. A constant push and pull. Her work continues to show an exploration of mark making and interaction with the surface.

A local Iowa artist, Rocky Reed's work consists of contemporary realist pieces, featuring still life, plein air, portrait, and figurative subjects. Rocky makes an effort to impart a sense of poetry, technical bravura, and presence to his paintings. He also adheres to a vegan approach when selecting painting materials; completing paintings using all vegan-friendly paints/pigments, glues, and supports. We loved his use of antique frames and feature of tarot cards in his most recent paintings. Rocky Reed's work reminds us of the old masters and their studies of form, light, and color.
