Marcello De Simone and Bruce Wayland are the Amsterdam based Italian/American design duo behind Studio DeSimoneWayland. Since 2010 they have been combining their backgrounds in both studio art and art history to create one of a kind wall art.Their medium of choice is ceramic plates, at first combined with paintings in their Altered Perspectives series, and later created in stoneware and porcelain by the artists in their atelier in Amsterdam.

The combination of plates with paintings, as well as handmade ceramics and porcelain has developed into a slight obsession with the forms and shapes of antique table services.This has led to the forms themselves becoming the focus of their latest work which is in unglazed extra white porcelain.

Their work has been shown in various locations in Europe, and currently at the Chairish Art Gallery at Bergdorf’ Goodman in New York from January 16 to April 10, 2023. In 2022 Studio DeSimoneWayland. were included in the prestigious Homo Faber Guide of the best European artist-makers.
