Over the last seven years of being an art advisor, I have developed a specific questionnaire that gets to the heart of the matter—what people would love to have hanging on their walls. These questions range from how the client would like to feel in their space to inspiration they have seen and loved. I haven’t worked with any of these women (although I would love to), but in the way that social media makes you feel like you know a person, I have shopped for each of their walls.
Blair
has been a longtime source of fashion inspiration for me. She loves to play with prints and patterns and most importantly, her aesthetic is so joyful. I immediately paired her up with
Angela Chrusciaki Blehm’s Enzo Bow. It’s got everything that I think Blair would love—polka dots, color, a bow—and joy!
Justina
has such a wonderfully defined aesthetic. She is the boho queen on instagram and has carved a niche for herself perfectly.
Kevin Brent Morris’s Flea Beetle feels so much like her to me. Kevin and Justina have a similar love of playing with pattern and nature and the palm leaf background is so beautifully done. The vintage frame that Kevin handpicked is what seals the deal for me when picking this piece for her.
Julia
has the most charming and sweet aesthetic. She and her husband, Thomas, moved to Charleston a couple of years ago and their home has been a delight to watch. Recently, on top of her incredible fashion line Gal Meets Glam, she also had her first child. This sweet new family of three immediately makes me think of
Hunt Slonem’s Myconos. From the three bunnies, to the aqua blue color and antique gold frame, it feels like this piece could just slip on to any wall in their home.
I have followed
Emily
on instagram for quite a while because I love watching her business grow in new and interesting ways, her aesthetic both in fashion and in her home (her bathroom is to die for and inspired my living room curtains), and she has a similar love of sweets—specifically rice krispies treats. Emily has a fun and colorful look which doesn’t take herself too seriously, which I appreciate. For all of those reasons I chose
Kristi Kohut’s Blooming. This artwork is beautiful, it’s joyful, it’s covered in glitter, it looks as though it’s glowing—it would fit right in Emily’s happy, sugar-filled home.
I have recently started following
Kathleen and her blog, Carrie Bradshaw Lied, and followed her recent move from California to Georgia. In the glimpses I have seen of their new home, it is so lovely and fits in with Kathleen’s southern charm. Naturally, I had to pair her with another southern artist—
Logan Ledford
of New Orleans. As you can see in her photo above, Kathleen has a love of neutral artwork and I just cannot get over how much I love this Ode to Deep Blue that Logan recently sent to us. From one southern girl to another, it’s a perfect match.
I’ll be sharing more of my dream clients and the artwork I match for them in coming months. If there’s a genre you’d love to see— movie stars, television characters—
let us know
and I’ll start pairing artwork to client!
