Introducing Karin Olah

It seems a little late to the party, since you've already seen (and fallen in love) with her work over the last few weeks ... But, we want to give Karin a proper introduction as a new artist on our roster! Karin Olah is an East Coast native who studied both fine art and fine fashion.

She combines textiles and fabrics with graphite and paints to form quilts of landscapes, seascapes and abstracts. Every piece has an extra layer of depth because textiles rest on top of the exquisite paintings and give it a homey and relatable feeling.

The layers of fabric stir the memories of an old quilt and the paintings make new of gorgeous lands filled with dreamy colors. Karin uses her art to reveal the importance of the marshy wetlands and the benefits they have to the land around them including a reduction of flooding and carbon in the atmosphere. Her stunning work is made for artistry and to make a statement and there could be nothing more beautiful.
