The artist behind June Street Studio grew up painting things on the wall of her room and making life-sized paper mache portraits while everyone else was on AOL InstantMessenger, so it was a surprise to no one when she went off to New York City to attend art school (she studied at F.I.T and Pratt Institute, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts). Inspired by texture, layers, light and whisper-soft creamy palettes, her work has been seen in galleries from NYC to Iowa. Most charming of all, it graces nearly every wall of her father's house, who is forever her biggest fan. She lives in Florida's Gulf Coast with her family and likes to keep things mysterious (so yes, June Street is a nom de plume).
