Liz's 2023 Holiday Gift Guide

Hi, friends! I thought it would be fun to share what I am giving and requesting this holiday season. There’s something for everyone and all budget ranges below. Art (of course) is a perfect gift giving option but a lot of my favorite small businesses are below as well.

For the Hostess

Recently I went to Eden in Des Moines and found this great set by Homecourt (Courtney Cox’s line). They are good looking enough to sit out on your counter and smell SO much better than your normal cleaning product. This surface cleaner is the chicest cleaner I have ever seen.

For the Book Lover

I am an avid reader and I have never met anyone that didn’t love Remarkably Bright Creatures. It was one of my top 5 of last year. An amazing tale of an intelligent and crotchety octopus. It switches back and forth between the humans and the octopus and let me tell you – the octopus chapters zing. Staying on the animal theme, a book I loved this year was When Women Were Dragons. Set in the middle of the 20th century, women start turning into actual dragons. It’s an interesting metaphor for women becoming feminists and how the world adapted.

For the Art Lover

Ohhhh do we have ideas for the art lover. No surprise there. Check out our holiday shop for artworks under $500. You can find great, unique gifts for your loved ones or just buy a gift for yourself. Personally, I can’t get enough of Susannah Carson's work lately. Her Lover's Eye paintings are so beautiful—it checks all my boxes. This piece in particular is a favorite. I am also very excited about our new artists we have brought on recently including, Suzy Lindow, Susannah Carson, Anna Buerskens, Natalie Ghazali, Keren Fraser, and Ekaterina Popova.

For the Clothes Horse

Okay so that’s me. I have SO many recommendations. Lately I have loved both gifting and buying for myself Katie Kime monogrammed shirts. I’ll put an “LL” on just about anything. I am also obsessed with the entire Classic Six line. The leather mini dress has been a recent favorite. Speaking of monograms and leather – check out Leatherology for great bags too. And finally, when I am home these are my sweatpants from Cozy Earth that I have in multiple colors. You can use a code too - LIDGETT40 for 40% off. And half of my wardrobe is now from Marne here in the East Village. One of everything, please.

For the Busy Family

More screens? I know. But the Hearth Display has truly been a game changer for my family in the last month. One big, visual way to look our week and to-do lists. We can all be on the same page about what needs to be done and who where.

Lightening Round!

Okay here’s some lightening round ideas that I love and use daily: A Kindle Paperwhite. This Digital tapemeasurer. This face mask that takes away any bad decisions from the night before in minutes somehow. I do not understand how it works so well. I do not ask questions. This kids’ camera that I am getting for our daughter for Christmas. Pink (check!), unicorns (check!), creative (check!).
