Almost a decade ago I met Haneen through the Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker event. I immediately became a fan of her warm, charming demeanor and her incredible style. I feel lucky to know her and learn from her regularly. I’m delighted that she
curated a selection of works by our artists, and I’m sure you’ll appreciate her perspective as much as I do.
Haneen has always considered herself an artist. With a photography degree from the University of Toledo, her love of art initially started with fashion and quickly shifted to a love of interior design, while home raising her kids. She started her blog, Haneen's Haven, and Instagram page
@haneens_haven, in 2015 documenting all things "home." Since then, her work has been published in Better Homes & Gardens, HGTV, Real Simple, Hour Detroit, and online on Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, etc.
"I think sometimes people feel intimidated when choosing art because they think it needs to have a deep meaning that resonates with something super personal within them. The truth is- you can choose something purely because it makes you happy when you look at it! Having a painting of a horse doesn't have to mean you rode horses as a child. Maybe you just find their coats beautiful! Maybe you find the way their body moves as they gallop, mystifying. Hang art you love, and everything else falls into place."
