Valentine's Day is just around the corner and we have all kinds of gift ideas for you.

The Pink Lover

I am not sure about you, but I had no idea there was such a thing as Ruby Chocolate. This is not dyed chocolate, but a fourth kind of chocolate! It is said to be a fruity flavor and to have a rich smoothness to it, and would be the perfect way to add a little pink to a classic Valentine's gift. Pink is the color of love, kindness and nostalgia, so it really is the perfect color for valentines day, whether you are gifting your friend, your child or your partner.  Fares Micue's work is always so romantic, but this piece feels extra romantic with her soft, fluttery sleeves and the delicate blooms around her face. The pinks she chose to use in The Venus Touch  are both rich and delicate and sing in front of the dark background that she is known for using.

The Classic Lover

Hearts and roses will always go with Valentines day. The giving of roses first emerged in Greek mythology, where it was tied to Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Hearts have also been a symbol of love for a very long time; some records dating back as early the 1250's! I would say that is a pretty timeless duo. Hunt Slonem's Night Light  is simply stunning. Its black diamond dust makes the mat white bunny and frame really stand out. The way the two of them fit alongside each other makes this piece a real show stopper. Hunt's work is always a good conversation starter, but this one screams elegance and romance. And what says romance more than matching? The example I put in this image is from Tiffany + Co, but it really could be anything. Whether it be a matching permanent bracelet from Leona Ruby or robes from Amour or fragrances from Eden, matching always makes you feel attached to the person you love.

The Bloom Lover

For years I fought being a flower girl because I felt like it made me "too girly" to love flowers, but I can confidently say: I freaking love flowers. The combination of Marcy Vreeland's Aqua 2 and this stunning bouquet and a pass to a botanical garden ( The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden is pictured here) as an experience gift is  * chef's kiss * Giving someone a gift of a pass to a zoo, garden or museum is a gift that will keep giving. It is a way to have free date nights all throughout the year, showing your loved one that you want to continue to spend time with them in fun and exciting ways. Aqua 2 is a gorgeous addition to any collection. It is a smaller piece for Marcy just coming in at 18x18 and fits in perfectly with a variety of different styles and decorations being that the blooms have an assortment of colors and textures. This give the piece a lot of depth and visual interest.
All of the blooms in this post are from Wildflower, which is a local, Des Moines . If you cannot tell, I am a big fan of their gorgeous  work, but there are incredible floral artists in every city. Check out your local florists to see if they could make something as stunning as the crew at Wildflower
